The idea of “color swatches” fascinate me simple due to the trillions of variation light has on perceived chroma. Half an inch of any surface can hold countless variables of hue, tone, color, and shade. To capture one fragment of that purity and enlarge it into a singular pigment is almost unimaginable. I love the idea of juxtaposing these enlarged samples of unique color with micro objects filled with infinite depth. An entire universe, trapped inside one single microcosm that also, could be color matched.
