It Left an Ugly Mark:

The Beauty and Blemish of Matters of the Heart

Fana Jewlery Soho, NYC

October 2024

A collaborative 6 month installation with Fana Jewlery store in Soho. The exhibition's title draws inspiration from Leonard Cohen’s poem "Happens to the Heart" which illustrates the complexities of learning to live after knowing heartbreak and betrayal.
Building a sense of identity and the cycle of discovery, the heart is at the center of every grand search for meaning.

This collection echoes these themes examining the way in which our own emotions distort the way we remember significant moments. Much like music transports us back to a specific time, our own memories can be influenced by the external factors that shape our lived experience.
